The Seduction of An Unknown Lady by Samantha James
What was this book about?
Fiona Hawkes has many secrets. After her father passed away, she and her mother were left alone. Her mother was unable to take the loss of her father and became both an emotional as well as financial burder on Fiona.
Fiona then opened a bookstore and began writing under an assumed name. Her books have become famous, but only because no one knows who the writer truly is.
When walking alone at night she meets Lord Aidan McBride. He is both persistent as well as inquisitive. He likes Fiona too much to let her keep her secrets. Especially when they figure out these secrets are risking her life. Can he get her to open up to him before it is too late.
What did you like/dislike about the book?
I thought Fiona was both a strong woman and a woman who was able to have emotions. Her strength didn’t mean she couldn’t feel – just that she had to be careful when she let herself do it. Both of them have their baggage and they have to figure out a way to move past it in a way that can help them and their relationship to each other.
What genre would you consider this?
