The Serpent Prince

The Serpent Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt

What was this book about?
Country girl Luck Craddock-Hayes finds a naked man on the road, who looks close to death’s door. What does she do? She brings the injured man to her home to try to nurse him back to health. The naked man is Viscount Simon Iddlesleigh. Simon has a past that he continues to let haunt him. His brother, Ethan, was killed and he must exact revenge on anyone who was part of this horrible crime. Meanwhile, the men who did the deed are out to stop Simon before he can get to them.

What was your favorite part about this book?

The back story of Rosalind and Ethan was interesting.

What was your least favorite part about this book?

The terminology in this book in regards to their intimate moments was more crass then traditional in romance novels. It wasn’t horrible by any sense of the word but just not what was expected from what otherwise is a traditional historical romance.

What genre would you consider this?

Historical Romance

Overall: C, it didn’t really hold my attention as much as it could have. In fact I put it down for a week and then picked it up again. This sort of behavior for me is unlikely when it comes to books. And I really had no desire to pick it up before then – when I did it was just because it was handy.
