What was this book about?
Catriona Kincaid fell in love with Simon Wescott when she was just a teen. She has spent years following his every deed. So when she decides she needs to return back to her native Scotland to find her brother and save them from an evil man she turns to Simon.
Simon has spent his last years in Newgate prison. He doesn’t feel that he lives up to that hero reputation. But when Catriona comes to him and tells him she can get him out, get him out of debt and all he has to do is marry her – he has no choice but to take her up on the offer.
What did you think about the book?
A classic historical romance novel. Woman has desire to be more then just a society girl at home – she wants to fulfill her destiny. Enter flawed hero who can’t help but love the girl (even though he wants to fight it). She needs him. He needs her. They fall in love. But things in love are just not that easy – and they break up only to be reunited when the man realizes what a jerk he has been.
So if you like that kind of book this is a really good one to read.
