What was this book about?
Kim Vaughn is part of a demon hunting family. She has always been the one in her family who really didn’t want to fight demons. She wanted a normal life and a normal family. Which is part of the reason she picked the defective Fo as her demon detector. Kim travels to the Castle of Dark Dreams for a “normal” job and instead finds out she is surrounded by otherworldly creatures.
Brynn McNair is cursed with the fact that if he spends an hour with a woman – he must bend to her will and sleep with her (if she wants it). He doesn’t know what he is – demon or not – he just knows that he has lived with this forever and doesn’t enjoy it. When he is attracted to Kim even without the curse he can’t believe it. Can he convince her he is the one for her before she tries to kill the demon him!
What did you think about the book?
I enjoyed this book. I have read others in the series and found this one to fit right in. I finally was able to meet Fo and Gabriel and find out how those two little devices found each other. They seem to do the same thing in almost every books – where they have some sort of evil to fight. But in general that does nothing to the integrity of the story.
