Dead Perfect by Amanda Ashley
What was this book about?
Shannah Davis is at death’s door and willing to do anything to beat the disease that is killing her. When she begins to think that stranger Ronan may be a vampire she knocks on his door asking for him to turn her too. She realizes he really isn’t a vampire (but he is), but he needs her for something. She begins to work with him so that they both get something out of their arrangement, she is feeling better and gets to spend her last days with him.
What was your favorite part about this book?
The fact that he was a romance novelist was kinda fun.
What was your least favorite part about this book?
The whole vampire stick seems very cliché. He drinks her blood and can make her better, has control over her and other people, and oh yeah there is a vampire hunter that is out to get him. There is just nothing original in this vampire novel. I really enjoy when something different about the vampire world is thought of – and this just doesn’t do that.
What genre would you consider this?
Paranormal Romance
Overall: C+ - if you want to read another vampire book this is the one for you.
If I was to nominate this book for an award it would be: Most Unoriginal Story of Vampires
